A Neolithic Jade Bi Disc
LATE NEOLITHIC PERIOD, QIJIA CULTURE, C. (2200 – 1900 BC.) A piece full of character with impressive grain. The dominantly cool play of colors of this bi are exceptionally varied. Generally, the color is a bluish grey with light as well as dark zones ranging to russet brown. The thick disc has a central aperture drilled from both sides, leaving a ridge in the center and visible grinding lines to either side of it. The outer edge is smooth. The surface is polished to a satiny finish. Jade 8.125 in. (20.64 cm.) in diameter. $700
