HONGSHAN CULTURE (c. 3500 – 2500 BC)
This thin ornament is basically formed by a large central curl from which five smaller hooked extensions protrude: each element of the abstract-looking pendant is highlighted with smooth wide grooves that follow the carved design. Formerly from the estate of Alan Katz, Colorado.
