A Pair of Large Cloisonné Facetted Vases with Covers
LATE 19TH/EARLY 20TH CENTURY The vases are finely decorated on the four sides with a flowering tree growing upon a rocky out crop There are flowers on the tapering shoulders. The facetted corners are decorated with flowers and are overlaid with metal mounts cast as cord-tied floral bi discs stretched between the beaks of winged birds applied to the shoulder corners and the heads of crouching monster supports at the base. The faceted covers are similarly decorated with lotus and other flowers below a lingzhi fungus finial, with a cast four-character Qianlong mark on the bottom. Enameled bronze 23.5 in.
